In a disturbing incident, four medical practitioners and another individual associated with Bhagwan Mahavir Institute of Medical Sciences (BMIMS) in Bihar's Nalanda district have been booked for allegedly seeking sexual favors from para-medical students in exchange for favorable grades during practical exams held on Wednesday.
The accused, identified as Dr Bijendra Prasad, Dr Nirmal Kumar, Dr Ritesh, Dr Ajay, and one other, are facing charges based on a first information report (FIR) filed by four complainants. The matter came to light when paramedical staff protested before the Nalanda district magistrate, demanding action against the accused doctors.
The district magistrate promptly instructed BMIMS principal Dr Ashok Kumar Singh to form a sexual harassment committee to investigate the serious allegations.
